By the way, anyone know if that title is a legit alternate spelling of Adonis? Because I haven't seen it anywhere but in that episode title

According to Wikipedia, the title of the poem is likely a merging of the Greek "Adonis" and the Hebrew "Adonai" (meaning "Lord")

Hera it is! GO DOC!!!!!! thanks for the info too :) Ok, you're it!
"Hera was 1st. She stood in front of the temple and spread herself upon the wind, thinner and thinner, until only the wind remained"
Sorry....been off fighting a headache.......and losing badly I might add. :cool:Quote:

:D
I won't give up my Aleve ;)
If not for Aleve, I might've given up booze..................................well, nah, but it would hurt a whole lot more then next day.
:D
I don't drink all that much ..... but I could never give it up completely ..... there are just some days....... it's the only thing that works :D
I have my own remedy for vodka hangovers....
500mg Aspirin
500mg acetaminophen
2 cups of coffee (or equivalent caffeine)
Pretty much the same ingredients in Maximum strength Excedrin
However....this one isn't hangover.....it's migraine. Nothing works there except ice packs and time. ;)
Never had one but an old GF of mine used to get em. She just laid down in the dark for half hr or so.
I get migraines from time to time.... and they are the worst... I get the swirls in front of my eyes and can't see... then I get the sick to my stomach feeling.... then the pain starts.... nothing helps but dark and complete silence...
then I have residual pain for a couple days where if I bend over I get dizzy and my head pounds... NOT fun
Anyone who gets them have my sympathies.
You're welcome. :)Quote:

The only performer to appear in every episode? Are you counting the pilots?
Q. In what episode did McCoy say "I'm a doctor not a bricklayer"
Chas
Well if you're counting the pilot, then Majel Barrett. If not, then both Kirk and Spock are in every episode.
The Devil in the Dark, it was the one where he doctored the Horta.Quote:

Oh yeah I forgot to answer that one. It was Devil in the Dark
The only performer to appear as the same character in every episode of "Star Trek: The Original Series" was Leonard Nimoy. He appears as "Spock" in every episode of "Star Trek: the Original Series", the only performer with that distinction.
William Shatner is a close second, appearing as "Kirk" in 78 episodes, all except the first pilot "The Cage".
Majel (Hudec) Barrett-Roddenberry was also in every episode but she appeared in "The Cage", "The Menagerie, Part I" and "The Menagerie, Part II" as the USS Enterprise's unnamed First Officer, "Number One". She made her debut as nurse "Chapel" in the episode "The Naked Time", where she is simply known as "Christine".
"The Devil in the Dark" is the source of the "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a bricklayer!". It was uttered by Bones when Kirk asks him to attend to an injured Horta.
Which Horta joined Starfleet and served on the Enterprise under Captain Kirk?
I say it was Spock...first time he said "Fascinating".
Lt. Pergium or Pregium I think.
The Horta's name begins with "N".
Which Star Trek did that occur on? I know it wasn't TOS which is the only 1 I watched.

Silicon-based life is discovered on Janus VI. The "Enterprise" investigates and discovers the Horta creatures are the last of its kind and a mining agreement is established. Dahai Iohor Naraht is born, soon to be the first Horta to serve in Star Fleet. "Enterprise" fatalities: Kelly (Security) [DD, TOS #18].
It was an episode with a life form that lived in the sand, when they were "teraforming" the planet. What was the episode.
Chas
For those of you who were crushed by the fact that the G4 channel runs all the old Star Treks....and you don't get that channel....you have another shot....
If you happen to get the TV Land channel....they are running a few of the episodes tomorrow night. ;)
