Too late...i saw it... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ Can't be of much help there. Your mobo is different from mine. All I can tell you is that all the labels on mine face the intake fan (towards the front of the case)---(that's both sides of where you insert those plugs). You'll have to consult your mobo manual. On mine, looking at those pins from top to bottom, it goes negative-positive. Nowadays, the "HDD LED" and "TurboLED" are all one plug (not two as might be indicated in the manual). You probably don't have a PWRBT--skip it.
You can skip the Keylock also--not really necessary. On mine, starting with the row of pins closest to the intake fan, from top to bottom, labels facing toward the fan, are as such: HDD LED, skip 2 pins, POWERSW, RESET SW. On the set of pins on the inside, from top to bottom, labels facing the intake fan, are as such: SPEAKER on the top pins, POWER LED on the last ones. Like I said, you need to consult your mobo manual as to your particular configuration. But if the pins from top to bottom (both sides) go from negative to positive consecutively, then the plugs (for both sides) go with the labels facing the intake fan. Any other positions for which you don't have a plug for, don't worry about it.
Hope this helps.
Have to say Nite. Going to a morning conference; then maybe off to Microcenter to browse https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
I'm sure I have the right connector on the right pins. I did it by the book. But it didn't say which way thay faced. Only to be sure the orientation was correct. I have my labels all facing the same direction (logically https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ ) but the more I think about it...now I noticed the little + signs on the diagram and soooo I need to figure out which side of the connector (each has two wires) is the + side. I know they are all different colors on one side but they ALL have a white wire. So would the white wire be the + ? If I knew that, then I could figure out which side of that connector is the +... then I would know which direction to put it in.
I no speaky 'lectric.
The white is normally negative - [please note the normally]
One of the reasons I worked with the manual from the website is acrobat reader has a magnifing glass in it so I could enlarge it.

Normally....hmmmmmm.
Gambling. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
I guess they (in the Motherboard book) cannot say specifically how to do this orientation business because those wires are from the switch which came with the case, and they would have no idea which case or switch. I got out the case exploded view hoping those wires were on there...nope.
Is there a tester ?
On those wires for the S500 case, white is negative (as Train alluded to). So if your mobo switch assembly connections, from top to bottom, go negative-positive, then all the plugs are oriented with the labels facing the front of the case.
Hmmmm..is there a tester? Yes. You can wet your finger, turn the power on and touch those pins. If the shock feels "negative", then you'll know...you'll know not to touch those opposite pins... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
(Don't mind me...I'm in one of those moods...)
OK, ok, ok...I'll get "real" here... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
It's not going to hurt the computer or the LED assembly if they aren't oriented correctly when you power on. When powered on, just check that the POWER ON LED on the front is burning constantly. The HD LED (orange) should just be flickering, then maybe burn for a few secs, then flicker again (as the hd is spinning). The RESET button should do just that, reset the system (reboot). The Power Switch should turn off the power after holding it in for a couple of seconds. if any of the above is not working the way it should, just reverse the appropriate plug at the mobo. DON'T check this until everything's on the system and ready to power up. (It's no biggie for now, in other words).

That's what I needed to know. The white is the negative.....just wanted to be positive about that. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Thanks.
I'ze fixin' to have to resort to eenie meenie miney mo.
Thanks Train. Might as well get the Chineeez
version. Might make more sense. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Oh now, c'mon...don't make fun of the "eenie meenie minie mo" technique. It's used by the best of us https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
50/50 odds. Told ya...I don't wanna smell any smoke https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
How did you know ? Experience? Or is it marked on those connectors and I just can't see it ?
A big, BIG magnifing glass helped me, plus matching closeup of diagram on computer.

Was looking at a computer that is liquid cooled this afternoon.
PS, video and cpu where the parts that are cooled. ASUS A7V, Athlon cpu and was running 45 degrees C. Looked good and I did not ask the price. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
