How do I enable hidden and system file view in explorer?
MrFinance
In Windows Explorer, go Tools>Folder Options>View tab, and make sure both settings look like this:
http://209.85.48.8/228/109/upload/p4216334.gif
Make sure to click OK after making changes
Nope, I don't see it there, but with all these problems, I'm sure it's there. Plus I notice the machine is slow when I operate it. I know it's due to this Tdss.
MrFinance
After running gmer, it shows the damn thing is still in there. What should I do?
MrFinance
Are you certain, that under View tab, first option is CHECKED, and the second one UN-CHECKED?
Yes, I'm certain and followed your instructions to the letter. What do you want me to do?
MrFinance
Well, if the file is not present, then, most likely it's gone.
I looked again at Malwarebytes log:
It looks like it removed TDSSrfdc.sys leftovers, but it doesn't show TDSSrfdc.sys itself.Quote:

I want you to go through the steps listed below again, and when done, provide fresh HJT log.
1. Run CCleaner.
2. Turn off System Restore:
- Windows XP:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Check "Turn off System Restore".
5. Click Apply.
6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
7. Click OK.
- Windows Vista:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
6. Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on (in most cases, drive "C:")
7. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click "Turn System Restore Off" on the popup window to do this.
8. Click OK
3. Restart computer.
4. Turn System Restore on.
I went through all the steps as you instructed. Here is a fresh Hijack log. At times the machine is running slow and there is constantly alot of disk (hard drive ) activity.

Broni or anybody,
One thing I forgot to mention or misinterperted is looking at gmer it appears the file or service is operating. When I click for deletion, I thought it would delete, but it gives an error message stating that file is not found within the directory. However gmer shows it still operating. The file is there but it's hidden or somewhere else. I also followed your instructions to find it in windows explorer, but it's not there. What should I do?
MrFinance
*** Are you able to post GMER log?
I suspect, the file is gone for real.
*** Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
Please, answer the above questions, and in the mean time, we'll take care of unnecessary startups....
*** Go Start>Control Panel>Add\Remove, and uninstall:
- Dell Support Center
- Sunbelt Software iHatePopups (it may be listed as PopUpInspector)
1. Print this post out, since you won't have an access to it, at some point.
2. Close all windows, except for HijackThis.
3. Put a checkmark next to the following HijackThis entries (some entries will be checkmarked to disable unnecessary startups; in those cases [marked with *], no actual program will be removed):

4. Click on Fix checked button.
5. Restart computer.
6. Post new HijackThis log.
Hi Broni,
It took me a while to get this working. My machine was runnning at a snail's pace. Also the Hard drive was constantly running. I had to run Hijackthis in safe mode. After removing the items listed in Hijackthis I rebooted and ran the gmer the log is listed below. It finally worked without crashing and in the past I should've not have other applications running. The Hijack log is also listed below.
- processor type: mobile intel Pentium 4
- amount of RAM: 512mb ram
- hard drive size/free space: 52.8Gb/35.1GB
*** Go Start>Control Panel>Add\Remove, and uninstall:
- Dell Support Center
- Sunbelt Software iHatePopups (it may be listed as PopUpInspector)
I removed both, but accidently removed the Dell Solution center also.
Here are the gmer.log and hijackthis.log
