A simple test to see if a travelling US'en is posing as a Canadian:
Ask the person to say the last letter of the alphabet.
A true Canadian will pronounce it as - ZED

BTW, a US'en is someone who lives in the United States.
Canadians, them, and Mexicans are all "Americans" ;)

you would think that everyone one who lives in any of the American continents would be considered "Americans", not just North America...

Where I come from, it's pronounced "Amurkans"

When my eldest boy was learning the Alphabet he started saying Zee instead of Zed.

We realised it was because of the Sesame St software he played where they all said Zee.
