Hello to everybody here at VirtualDR forums. I stumbled across this place through a search engine while trying to fix a computer problem and it looks like a good place so i registered and will stay for awhile if thats OK. ;)

Hi to you all,

Had this forum highly recommended to me by a tecchie who knows his stuff, so before having a whinge about my current problem a bit about myself.

I am 61, been in IT since the '80s and watched the IBM PC being born. I am now working as a Systems Test Team Leader with a large American bank who took over our company back in 2005. They do a lot of taking over people, so it may not be too hard to guess which one it is.

I live in Bristol, have 4 daughters with two ex-wives (therefore constantly broke) and am hoping I can pay off the mortgage before the money runs out.

I still enjoy biking, playing nostalgia games on my PC (GT Legends, WWII flight sim), theatre and films, and if I get the chance, sailing.

I Hope I can contribute a bit to the site, and have an active role on several other forums, e.g. Hummy.org.uk, MoneySavingsExpert, BMWLand, RCS, etc.
