Big tractor trailer engine/exhaust system blew up in front of my place in the middle of the night. A long and unbelievably loud roar that made me think there was a building collapsing across the street.

No. He shut it down and parked it where it died and a couple hours later @ around 4am a repair guy and a big tow truck showed up. They were all gone by the time I got up for breakfast.
