See, now that's the sort of misinformation you get when you rely on gasbag (pun intended) sources like Fox news or the Drudge report...
regarding Gores energy bill..

I watched your video......did you watch mine?:D :p
Your link confirms the report....so I am not sure what you are saying. I got the figure of "18 times" from a site that actually tried to debunk the story...

Facts and figures
The TCPR hasn't revealed how it obtained the usage figures attributed to Gore's household, though the press release claims the information came from the Nashville Electric Service, which denies it. How accurate are the figures? The Associated Press conducted its own examination of Gore's 2006 utility bills and found the TCPR's numbers to be slightly inflated, though the documents confirmed that the Gore family indeed consumes far more electricity in a year than the average American household. The correct amounts, as reported by AP, are as follows:
• Al Gore's average monthly electric bill in 2006: $1,200 (source: AP).
• Al Gore's total electric consumption in 2006: 191,000 kilowatt hours (source: AP).
• Average annual electric consumption per U.S. household (in 2001): 10,656 kilowatt hours (source: EIA).
Based on the above, Al Gore consumed roughly 18 times the national household average in kWh of electricity last year -- a differential which is probably only slightly mitigated by the following:
• The stated national household average, though accurate, is six years old and no doubt on the low side.
• Average usage varies widely by region. In Nashville, for example, where Gore lives, the average consumption per household is 15,600 kilowatt hours per year, almost 50% higher than the national average (source: AP).
• At 10,000 square feet, the Gore residence, which also houses the former vice-president's office, is more than four times larger than the average new home built last year in the U.S. (source: AP).
Even taking the above into account, Al Gore's power usage remains significantly higher than that of the typical U.S. household. How does he defend it?
I don't believe Fox or Drudge has been linked to.....or even mentioned in this thread. Please explain how you came to mention them.....I'm curious.....
Allow me a moment to explain a few things here....as I see there is some confusion....particularly because of my sense of humor.
Now...I have been doing alot of reading over the past 5 years or so on the subject of man-made climate change. However.....I didn't just rely on news reports, blogs or Hollywood productions. I did some digging. Just about all of the information presented in the program, Global warming Swindle, was old news to me. In some cases....very old news. All the show does is bring it together into a coherant form...and ask the question, "Why haven't we heard of this before?"
I admit the title is clearly designed to generate an audience. The term swindle is poor IMO. But how honest was Al Gore's, An Inconvenient Truth? Lets be adult here and admit that both films weren't exactly looking for titles that screamed "I AM A DOCUMENTARY....PREPARE TO BE BORED OUT OF YOUR SKULLS" Both titles intimated at scandel....and if there is anything we like as a people....it's other people's dirty laundry. That's what we are....lets face it....
I don't expect that everyone watching it should be convinced....but what is wrong with the presentation of an opposing view? I keep hearing in the news that the 'debate is over....and it's time for action'. Whoa....when did this happen? We went from idea, to theory to fact....damn near overnight. Now considering that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is 150 years old....and was actually first proposed in ancient Greece....and we are still debating the merit. How is it that man-made global warming got put on the fast track to fact? Quantum mechanics is still a theory. Relativity....still a theory.....
I'm sorry folks.....but everyone got real lazy on this one, IMO. A couple computer generated movies of oceans overwhelming coastal cities, some actors screaming and running and everyone panicked. At that point....the opportunist leeches arrived to feast on the bloated corpse of absent crtitical thought. Least that is my opinion on it.....
This was clearly demonstrated on October 30th 1938 when Orson Welles with others broadcast an adapted version of HG Wells War Of the Worlds and caused mass panic.Quote:

Although the Martians are coming to get us......aren't they ?
Only if the earth really is flat Nix... ;-)
Everybody knows the earth is flat!.
191,000 @ .068 =12,988
1200 x 12 = 14400
He definately lives in the wrong place.
But still not a real bad rate either.
The earth is not flat....however....it isn't round either. The term "round" would indicate a sphere, but the earth actually is an oblate spheroid with slightly flattened poles. This gives the earth a bulge at the equator preventing it from being a perfect sphere.

:p
Britney!! Now we are talking ... finally something super important! :D
Maybe Britney is on to something really important here. Let's all shave our heads and form a "Shaved Heads Society". Every day at high Noon we will go stand outside for 15 minutes and the combined Solar reflection from our beautiful baldness will be reflected back into space, thus saving our planet from global warming.:D
Okay, Gals...who's first!!
Well.....see now.....people don't know how thoughtful and smart Britney is. Everyone thinks she is just a drugged up bubblehead, but she is in fact a genius!
What she has done is use her own head to represent the planet and demonstrate the ravages of global warming! Brilliant.....!!!

The drugs and alcohol are symbolic of pollutants like carbon dioxide....again..........brilliant!! And you all thought Hollywood was just alot of pomp and posturing from the back seats of limousines, huh? Not the Britney....she puts her head where it counts, baby.....:D
