Good article you posted a link for Snooker...this one....http://www.securityfocus.com/columnists/249
Since most wont read it, let me grab some snippets.
"IE is a buggy, insecure, dangerous piece of software, and the source of many of the headaches that security pros have to endure..."
"the user doesn't need to do anything - just visit a Web site or click on a URL in an email. The results? Your home page is changed, a bunch of new bookmarks show up in your Favorites, and popup windows for porn sites open constantly."
"It's time. It's time to tell our users, our clients, our associates, our families, and our friends to abandon Internet Explorer. "
"Mozilla Firefox is an effort to pull out the browsing component, resulting in a faster, more focused, and more innovative Web browser. And you know what? It's working. "
" As people who care about security - and who so often work with people who care nothing about security - it's our responsibility to spread the word about a better Web browser.'
"Enough is enough. How many times are we going to put out the fires that IE starts, only to get stomped on, again and again? "
Snippets...I love that word :D
Do you mean 0.9 or is the version I d/l way behind ?Quote:

Here's another very good article:

SuperSparks thats a good point as well and i am going to use that link as well thanks
Another thing I have noticed, is:
I get notified via email of updated threads at VDr and other forums.
When I click on the link it opens another instance of Firefox.
With IE it used to open the thread in an exsiting IE window.
Also MSKB doesn't seem to work very well.
If I go to http://support.microsoft.com and click on MSKB it just brings back the same page.
Also none of the little roll over tabs work on the upper right side of the screen eg All Products, Support, Search and microsoft.com Guide.
Maybe I need a plug in.
Maybe MSKB is too integrated with IE
Nix - I just clicked on your link and it worked for me, including the tabs. I'm using Firefox version 0.9 with no plug-ins.
I'm using FireFox also with no plug-ins and everything worked for me also except when under downloads I got a blank page for windows update.
Boo hoo, I can't get it to work.
I also got a blank page for http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ but I guess that's because you need to use IE 5.5 or above http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp
Where does this link take you to ?
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;KBHOWTO
For me it just takes me to http://support.microsoft.com/ ?
It takes me here.
http://support.microsoft.com/
Yet it is supposed to be the advanced search where you can specify the MS product, number of articles to retreive etc.Quote:
Try the first link in MS IE you'll see the difference.
