No more projects for a while....I may upgrade the processor in the game machine from the 333 celeron to either a 700 cel or a 933piii depending on the prices at the end of the month....and I might put another stick of 128mb sdram in it as well...I was looking into KVM switches here.... http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage....107-120-02.JPG
What do you think has anyone used these...I heard something about them not working with screen resolutions above 800x600 I use 1024x768. I believe I will sit back and relax awhile and enjoy the fruits of my labor.....what is going on here at VDR...I have noticed a serious slowdown in posts since the ordeal with the off topic thing with Mo. Are there anymore good sites like VDR that I might be able to learn from as well.
Hi Sarkazztic, I have about four five more good sites I use, two of which the info presented is more specialized than Virtual Dr and probably three sites that have knowledgeable people that aren't here on Virtual Dr. These sites are slower than normal also. And we saw this slowdown start as a result of Sept. 11th. The issue with Mosaic maybe affected Virtual Dr a bit maybe. Hard to tell as I wasn't watching that very closely. I will tell you this and of course this is my personal opinion and not those of our sponser. (I just love to say that. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ ) A loss of a Mosaic or a VV is not good. And I would like to see them back.
Virtual Dr IMHO is the best. Look what you have gotten from it so far and you got your self mixed up with some of the best minds in the business. So what if the master and his gurus are half a bubble off. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ They know of what they speak. None better anywhere, but there are some that are as good.
Virtual Dr and Mosaic in particular are what got me going instead of a sledgehammer attack on my computer. And I am grateful to both. And always will be. And then I met the Queen of Hearts and shortly thereafter Bistro and Train took us under their wings and became our mentors. Ya' know it is up to each one of us as members to help keep Virtual Dr at the top of the heap. Unfortunately, once in awhile there is an issue arise that is hurtful to someone but with this many people on a board, alot of credit goes to those guiding the rest of us to keep it as it is. A board, where each one of us can get answers.
