Whenever they have a poll or something about the best episode....the Tribbles episode always seems to come out as number 1.

The Deep Space episode was a major event in Trekdom since it was the first real connection to the original series I believe. Later on....DS9 had another episode where they go back in time to the Tribbles episode and through the magic of CG graphics...the DS9 characters were actually inserted into the original Tribbles episode. Pretty clever work and idea.... :cool:

Well considering they were blind guesses. As I said I've never watched any of the successor shows. TNG I saw a couple times, but it bores me. Too realistic. What I liked about the old show was that it was so campy, and wel.................bad! Airbrushed rocks and all
It took awhile for TNG and DS9 to find their niche. Both suffered from bad scripts for their first couple seasons....but they turned it around and finished strong. Voyager never really got off the ground...and the last one, Enterprise...was just plain bad IMO. :p

DS9 made use of the other hree Klingons...and TNG made use of the this character. There was a whole episode about him....

One of the best DS9 episodes was when they go back in time to the original Star Trek Tribble episode to fix the timeline. They integrate themselves into the story and the video/film extremely well... it's seemless- you'd never guess they weren't in the original episode.
Maybe the best part is when they ask Worf why the Klingons in that time don't look like him... He scowls and says "it's something we don't talk about" LOL.

If you haven't read Shatner's book "Star Trek Memories" I HIGHLY recommend it. Man it was one of the best books I've read in the past 10 yrs, if you're a trekkie. You can't believe the **** Shatner did to Nimoy.
Nimoy had to spend more time in the makeup chair than any other regular, for obvious reasons. So he got himself a bike so that he could be 1st on line at the commisary for lunch, and could then get back to makeup for the next shot.
Well Shatner didn't like that. So he takes Leonard's bike, and has the grips suspend it from the ceiling of the soundstage. Nimoy comes in saying "Where's my bike!?" and at Shatner's instruction, the grips lower it to JUST out of his reach LOL.
So the next day Shatner does it again. Now, he used to breed dobermans, and put 2 of em in his dressing room, with the stolen bike.
Nimoy decides that he's gonna lock up the bike. He gets a heavy chain and locks it to a hydrant. Shatner gets bolt cutters LOL.
So Nimoy decides that he's gonna put it in the back seat of his Olds 88. Guess who had his car towed away........

Well he says in the book that he and Nimoy were and are the best of friends. But Nichelle Nichols wasn't so fond of him, and she told him so.
I need to get that book ..... sounds like a good read. Last book I read was the DaVinci Code ... I need something new to read ;)
If you're a fan it's a must. The 1st couple chapters when he's going through the background of the show, and what Gene had to do to get it bought, is kinda boring. The rest is great.
