Nope. Only thing I'm going to "change" is move the ZIP out of it's 5.25 bay and put it down there with the floppy. Will leave a 5.25 bay free for whatever. Heck, this thing's so roomy, I might move in there...
If bistro takes apart the one he has and transfers it's innards to the new case that's building one, isn't it?
You said you didn't order the Power supply cause you are using the one you already have ?
How do you take temp. readings. Do you use a thermometer like the A/C guy uses (on a spindle) and stick it in the grills ?
Those dimensions sure beat 7 3/4" wide,
15" high, 12" long.
As far as a removable board, I have to be very careful with the one in the Compaq. To me it seems very flimsy.
one InWin S500 with ps, I will pick up. Had my hands on some cases a couple times, And I did not care for them.

Actually, my BIOS detects the CPU temp--also have SiSoft Sandra diagnostic program that does it too.
Will be using my existing 300W power supply.
Train, you just made me think of something. Are pc boards repairable if one had the pc board repair kit and the proper test equipment. Or are the electronic components and etchings to small to work with. I have not looked at any pc boards up close yet other than going in my case and I was focused on cables that time?

Splits [broken traces] can be jumpered sometimes, but with these boards, I would be tempted to replace them first.

Ditto. Most newer mobos have a BIOS that monitors the CPU temp. Motherboards are really considered FRU's (field replaceable units). For the cost/labor/time it would take to repair one, you could get a new one.
