You know where to find me whenever you want to "see me" Maxx ;)
Yes smurfy ... I carefully calculated my response to beat you to the punch by milliseconds! I use a device that bounces a few thoughts off the disappearing ozone layer and then reflects back to me via sunspot generated solar winds and then, well... I just know stuff. Yes, that's it...!
I'll try to get over there more.....:cool:Quote:

Abhoth, milliseconds...45 minutes - meh, close enough.
I just read from page 1 and by post #10 I had the first line of my reply but then I got to reply #42 (that damn number again!!) and found you had already cornered that market :)
Well....global warming or no global warming.....I'm cold.
Time to hit the bed....which has three blankets on it BTW.....;)
Later folks............................................................
Hey now...! There's a bit of lag when dealing with the solar winds there smurfy! ;-)
Yesh, remember it's summer down here - I'm in the middle of the "warming" part so am laughing at Maxx freezing his shades off. :D
The earth is flat... well maybe we could use the extra carbon dioxide to pump the earth up again, and we'd solve both those problems.
Pity I came in late.. I will sit and watch this vid tomorrow..
The biggest problem I have seen with Climate change/Global warming is that
1/ most confuse one for the other
2/ any discussion is on only One aspect of the earths atmosphere or on one substance
3/ Most discussion is based on short term information.. ie the best data, and most complete (so far) is only a few years old..
4/ Many discussions dismiss earths natural cycles
5/ many discussions have ignored natural events..Volcanic eruptions?? (some eruptions dump more pollutants into the stratosphere in a day than all mankind in a year)
6/ Most of the front men are Media personalities (these have no credibility with me..)
I was brought up in an era when solar cycle was closely linked to our weather..Quote:
interesting development in the light of solar activity being mentioned now as a climate changer.
Like the internet people will gravitate toward the information that is most convenient to them.. not search for the truth..
Most of the people who are placed in the public eye as scientists are not.. they may have science degrees.. but they are not about science.. they are not testing their theories and retesting with the information.. instead they are collecting the information that proves their theory.. not using all the information.
Oh yes.. I am a greenie.. I believe we should be responsible to our environment.. I do not believe we need to exaggerate the situation.. people know that lairs are not to be trusted and will turn on them.. the result is we end up further from a solution ...
Now I will watch the item and see if it passes my tests..
What happened to the 7 year and 11 year Solar cycle/Sunspot activity/drought cycle?
Farmers have known this fact for a long time.
Just now they are going to do a study on solar flares, Reason, because they interfere with the satellites.
They call it the Study of the Northern lights on TV.
Nasa's aurora mission blasts off

You better believe those solar cycle still effect radios waves.
Ya know....it just hit me. The flat earth thing is funny, but I would be careful with that one.
Remember....your global warming champion and mouthpiece, Al Gore, still believes in an invisible man that lives above the clouds that created and controls everything. ;)
Oh, oh.....now I have lit the fuse on religious debate.....
(Bad maxx......bad maxx.....baaaaaaaad max...) :D
Convenience store owners too, they subtly try to remind the rest of us in the naming of their stores.Quote:

As for the invisible man......no comment.............
That is true...it has recently been revealed that Al Gore wastes much more energy than the average American....although the exact ratio is anywhere from 18 to 30 times the rate....depending on what article you read....
Is it fair to attack Al on this matter? Well...if you are going to set yourself as the global warming savior of the planet......I would say, yeah....it matters. In all fairness to those who believe climate change is man-made....Al Gore is basically just an opportunist, I know that. I don't really let let his words cloud the debate. Most reputable climatologists that support man-made climate change positions would probably wish he would just shut the hell up and stop being an embarassment. The man is pure politician....and I guarantee....I know more about general science than this dumbbell. You don't actually believe he wrote An Inconvenient Truth on his own do you?
I will listen to pro-global warming scientists like I have for the past ten years. I will also listen to those opposed to man-made global warming....like those in the video. But I will poke fun at mouthpiece opportunists like bonehead Al Gore...inventor on the internet and savior of the human race. :D
Hey, I can stand 30 months of no electric bills.
Actually probably would be more than that when you compare the costs we pay per KW.
