is there quick way to get files from one drive to another xcopy is not working. I get the cdr101 error. There are alot of subdirectories in the directories I am trying to copy to the e: drive. Once I get the files to the e: drive I am going to unplug it and just have a 2.5 gig hard drive to try the quick restore.

murf, I did the fdisk /mbr. What was it supposed to do? I did not notice that it did anything.

xcopy.exe should be in your C:\Windows\System folder
Do this: (hit <enter> of each line - remember DOS)
a:\>
c:
copy c:\windows\xcopy.exe c:
Now you have it in the root drive to use.
