sarrkazztic,
Have you tried overclocking that dining table yet? https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
GG1,
Hopefully the case and/or MB should have come with sufficient stand-offs. Remember, ya don't necessarily need a stand-off to go with every MB opening/hole (assuming they all even line up with the threaded holes in the case). Just enough to secure and support it adequately.

https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ That's a good idea Bistro but I'm right in the middle of 5.4MB of Compaq info and need to file it.
Then I'm reading over the info on Operation Delta 5, 6, and 7 again, and remember jaak wants some answers the same as I do. I have set up a hard copy file for Compaq alone.
Then I'm rereading my manuals on the Western Digital 40GB and Maxtor Ulta ATA100 PCI card.
I want to know the why of this issue.

Noooooo...you don't understand!! I want his mobo to be "springy"..... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Actually, one thing you can check is whether or not that mobo needs to be grounded--it'll have a hole that matches one on the case--towards the back, around the middle, and the one that doesn't have a "dimple". If the mobo doesn't have a matching hole on it, you're cool. If it does, you'll need two standoff screws there. One goes into the case, then the mobo is attached with a second one there. Does this make sense, or am I just babbling again?

I'm used to it myself. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

And the master, drawing in a breath opened his mouth. Bistro leaned forward with great anticipation for words of wisdom. And the Master sayeth: "Always remember,...it's truly a beautiful thing when the bumps match the mobo." And as Bistro left the Master's presence, pondering in amazement at those words, the Master muttered after him, "What a putz is this? I say something so simple and he marvels...weird."

Bistro,
You should know you don't need all them little standoffs. Just use filters form the ashtray (might want to reinfoce them with duct tape) and creative use of plastic tie wraps. Damn I miss that good old safety wire from my old Navy avonics days. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

sarrkazztic,
One must always proceed with caution when overclocking the FSB (front side belly). https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

That's right. Hit middle-age and it maxes out. For some odd reason, no matter what you do, you can't set it back to 'default'.

Hi all, It's the dreaded me again.
Many Thanks to you all for your help with my problams. The problem I'm afraid was caused by my stupidity by not makeing sure what type of prossesor I have. I thought I had bought a 1gbt Athlon 266fsb when instead I have a 1Gbt Athlon 200fsb.So my settings must be 100/100 NOT 100/133 or 133/133, as I was trying. The Idiot in the Shop won't let me change it either. He says that I was useing SDRAM and the 200fsb was more suitable. But I remember telling the idiot that I was going to buy 256DDRRam in a few weeks to put into this board. 266fsb I wanted cause this is last time i ever want to upgrade. Now I must plan and save up to by a 266fsb at a later date.
Anyway everything is now going ok after a reformat and 48hrs trying to get me graphics card to work. One thing Puzzled me yesterday,I download and run CPCool and it messed up my comp badly. I switched on, and the comp just kept switching on and off all time, so had to uninstall the damn thing in safe mode. Any answers as to why it should do that. Keep up the Good Work, I find it very interesting and informative. Well Done All of You. Take Care, yours, DENNIS
