Thanks Bistro. I really dont want to go back with the standard PS in that HP. It is a 100w that is way to small. The dimensions on it is 4" x 4" x 2"... I was told they normally last about a year. So I would rather get a new case so I can have my Old Cdrom and my new CDRW drive both in there. Cant with old case.

BTW, thanks to all the assistance, the OS question is just about solved. The only thing I need to know now is this. Should I buy the case first or wait until I have chosen the other components? Or are these cases pretty much generic. Thanks

The cases are fairly much the same. May need spacers or such for motherboard. But, as a whole, your motherboard and mine will fit in a case and no problems. A old recycled case can mean a lot of metal work needing to be done. I had a 486 with full case, looked it over real good, and got a InWin S500 and love it.

OK great, looks like I'm going case hunting. Also looks like the Inwin S500 is the favorite here. Financially, I am forced to go in steps, so I'll get a case and we will pick it up from there. Actually I hope it does fit for now. I want the HP back and get rid of this Emachine. THen I'll start buying what I want to build a good PC without all the extra junk in a store bought PC... But if it doesnt fit, then I could justify buying all the extra stuff to build to MY WIFE.. Just dont tell her my plans....lol
