If you use more than one messaging program, including Yahoo, MSN, AOL, ICQ, or IRC you can access all of them through one free program called Trillian. I love this software, because I don't have to download and install four different programs to access all of my IMs.
Check it out here:

I have a new program I can't live without..... and I found out about it right here at our very own VDR :D

I was messing with this program and also was wondering how you got the blue banner above to go away. Haven't figured that one out yet. What's that called? Header?Quote:

Just found something. A tweak that gives you the size of the folder from Explorer. I haven't tried it, but it sounds good and sourceforge.net is pretty reliable and also free.

sorry, only works on xp and 2000 nothing prior and not vista either.
If you like your applications to be in the 'right' place on your taskbar then here's one you'll like. Works like a charm. Many people may not even have realised they would want this.

Dr. Bob: Nice one! I've tried some other programs like TaskArrange but they ran all the time in the background. I never cared for that but didn't know that there was an alternative. Now I can run it when I need it and can leave it off when I don't. I placed a link for TaskArrange in my Quick Launch bar so I'll have easy access!
There are a couple other programs at the TaskArrange site worth a look too.
OverDisk http://users.forthnet.gr/pat/efotini.../overdisk.html and DeskPins http://users.forthnet.gr/pat/efotini.../deskpins.html All 3 are handy little tools...
REGSEEKER -- Best registry cleaner i ever found -- 850 keys were removed on first pass!
DISK CLEANER - Best temp file remover i have found :)
Found this back-up program the other day.

Have played with many back-up programs but they all seem so clunky. File Hamster works in the background and even keeps more than one revision.
Just what I have been looking for.

Can't say that I can live without this as I have only just found it, but I think it's great and is now installed.

Click on the icon, a pen appears, scroll around whatever it is you want to save from a web page (does not have to be rectangular), open Word (or whatever) and paste the image. You can even save half an image if that is what you have outlined!
Uncertain how useful that is!

Ideal for testing your (new) LCD monitor/notebook for those dead/hot/just a little bit ill pixels.
Homepage.
Which after a few clicks brings you to this Windows version binaries (and source code) download page.
Although LCD screens are pretty good these days depending on the warranty you get you could take this with you if you buy in a local shop and test a screen before you take it with you. Later they will hit you with their 'pixel defect norms' policy.
