My wish for a small utility is a tiny graphics EDITOR, like Mspaint but with capabilities to EDIT images rather than just view or capture..I do not have Imaging and no Win95 CD so that's out. Irfanview is great for what it does but I wish to manipulate and/or edit actual files. Tried Pixia but learning curve too steep.

i have a HP pavillion 7970, Win ME & OE 6 & really only use my computer for personal stuff.

about a month ago, i had a scare & thought for a moment that i crashed my computer (or is it correct to say: i thought my computer crashed)...anyway,
during this time of panic...the only thing i could think about is that how will i ever remember all the icons & their associated sites , to be able to put them all back on if i ever got my computer back up or if i ever get a new computer (fortunately, it was just a blown powerborad & all was well)!!!

is there anyway to somehow get the list of my icons (i have about 100 icons on my desk top) & would hate to not be able to retrieve them if i'd ever have to...

while i'm thinking about this....i have about 300 favorites...is there any way to get a list of them too???

Starter is far and away the best free startup manager I have ever used. It can control both regular startups and services. It shows available startup file info, integrates the ability to Google for more info, has log generation and on and on. I use it several times each week. It is a very handy and powerful tool!

I'm looking for a programme, but maybe something like that exists already. I have a lot of DVD-Roms containing hundreds of files. Is there a programme that could change the file names into text format and make a list in a word processor?

I would like a button in Windows normal mode that I could click on to make my computer reboot into safe mode. I know I can always tap on an F* key during boot up, but when I need it I always forget which F* key to tap.
