Install the program using the other account, but install it so that All Users can run the program.
It is already installed on the other account. I am worried about uninstalling it and not being able to re-install it.
I am also not sure if it did ask me to install for all users. If it does not ask, how do i get it to install for all?
If it is already installed on the other account, then you will need to fix the permissions on the problem accounts folder as previously mentioned to get it to work there.
When i tried "fixing permissions", it didn't work/help, which is why i ended up with their tech support.
Is there a different way to fix the permissions?
You could try giving the problem account permissions while loggen in to the account that is working.
What happened when you tried before? Post a screen capture of what the permissions for that folder look like now.
I get the same error message about the installer. Nothing has changed apparently.
I wish i could add a screenshot but the forum does not let me (says i exceed something, even though i am hosting the image on my own server).
Detailed error messages would definitely help.
Can't you post a link to the image?
Hum.. maybe a link will work.
Those are for the permission settings:

I am not 100% sure i did it correctly but it SEEMS ok based on the tutorial.
As for the error i get when installing it, i get the exact same error as illustrated in this screencast (when i tried uninstalling it):

(sorry for the delays in responding, i am not getting the notifications when you reply).
You got several error messages when attempting to install/uninstall/reinstall AnyMeeting in that video. Which one is still holding you up? Is it the one attached here?
You could try 2 more things:
1. Give both user accounts access to each others Roaming folder.
2. Create a shortcut for the problem user account to the .exe file that works for the good user account, then try to run that installed copy of the program to see what happens.
The installation just hangs with the command prompt window there. I can leave it for a long time and nothing happens. When i close the command prompt window, i get the error that there is a problem with the Windows installer. THAT is what i can`t get pass. I was getting the same thing when i was trying to uninstall it initially, but it looks like the tech person managed to uninstall it already before they installed it. However, it does not look like it is installed anymore (it does not show in the Add/Remove programs anymore).
How do i do that?Quote:

If the installation just hangs, it is going to be difficult to determine the cause.
If the program is still installed for one user, find the .exe for it, right-click on it and create a shortcut, then copy that shortcut to the shared documents folder.
Not familiar with this: what folder is shared between users?Quote:
then copy that shortcut to the shared documents folder.
If you don't already have a shared folder, you can create one.
