Update Adobe Reader
You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
After installing the latest Adobe Reader, uninstall all previous versions (if present).
Note. If you already have Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition installed or do not wish to have it installed UNcheck the box which says Also Download Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition.
Alternatively, you can uninstall Adobe Reader (33.5 MB), download and install Foxit PDF Reader(3.5MB) from HERE.
It's a much smaller file to download and uses a lot less resources than Adobe Reader.
Note: When installing FoxitReader, make sure to UN-check any pre-checked toolbar, or any other garbage.

Open IE, go Tools>Internet options>Advanced tab and click on "Reset" button.
Restart IE.
Better?
I had foxit before on my old computer and was going to install it on here but finding the right link to download it is a pain. The one download says game the other says something else and I the the pdf7 was correct but it don't look right to me.. I did uninstall adobe using control panel. Should I also uninstall acrobat.com?
Well I got foxit and it says foxit. I just hope that pdf7.exe from the wrong side of the page didn't do anything.
I knew it didn't look right.
can I uninstall emachine games in the control panel without messing anything up. That as well as adobe and other stuff was installed by emachine and I have never known what I can safely uninstall without messing up. So I just let it sit.
Did you reset IE?
I am not sure what you mean by reset IE?
Scroll up and re-read my reply #32.
Ok Yep I did that . don't I want Bing to be disabled? I did forget to do it to the 64 bit IE.
In my files structure under imadreamer2
Under AppData the folder named application data, history, and temprary internet all say not accessible and access is denied
the next folder Application Data same thing not accessible and access is denied.
cookies not accessible and access is denied
Local settings not accessible and access is denied
NetHood and PrintHood Recent, Send to, StartMenu, and Template all not accessible and access is denied.
Is IE working better now?
Application Data is a hidded system folder and it shouldn't be played with.
I missed your question about IE. It is working better. Not as good as before I clicked yes to update fire fox and all this started but better. I think the hesitation to switch between mail and other sites or even between page 1 and 2 righ here are going to be normal. sometimes when I am typing the little flasing spot where I am typing disappears and it takes a minute for it to come back.
The reason I had install firefox to begin with way back when was because sometimes when I closed a web page in IE9 it would reopen immediately multiple times. Now it only does it once. Train told me to use Firefox instead. Thats been 2 or3 years ago. I think I want to go back to Firefox but not if it is going to install when I say No.... sorry for the delay in answering.
This Op System has IE9 and IE9 64 bit version and I am trying to decied witch one to use. Sometimes one works better and sometimes the other works better.
Your computer is clean http://dev.discussions.virtualdr.forums.relay.cool/
1. We need to reset system restore to prevent your computer from being accidentally reinfected by using some old restore point(s). We'll create fresh, clean restore point, using following OTL script:
Run OTL
- Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following:
Code::OTL
:Commands
[purity]
[emptytemp]
[EMPTYFLASH]
[emptyjava]
[CLEARALLRESTOREPOINTS]
[Reboot]
- Then click the Run Fix button at the top
- Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
- Post resulting log.
2. Now, we'll remove all tools, we used during our cleaning process
Clean up with OTL:
- Double-click OTL.exe to start the program.
- Close all other programs apart from OTL as this step will require a reboot
- On the OTL main screen, press the CLEANUP button
- Say Yes to the prompt and then allow the program to reboot your computer.
If you still have any tools or logs leftover on your computer you can go ahead and delete those off of your computer now.
3. Make sure, Windows Updates are current.
4. If any trojans, rootkits or bootkits were listed among your infection(s), make sure, you change all of your on-line important passwords (bank account(s), secured web sites, etc.) immediately!
5. Download, and install WOT (Web OF Trust): http://www.mywot.com/. It'll warn you (in most cases) about dangerous web sites.
6. Run Malwarebytes "Quick scan" once in a while to assure safety of your computer.
7. Run Temporary File Cleaner (TFC) weekly.
8. Download and install Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI): http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/. The Secunia PSI is a FREE security tool designed to detect vulnerable and out-dated programs and plug-ins which expose your PC to attacks. Run it weekly.
9. (optional) If you want to keep all your programs up to date, download and install FileHippo Update Checker.
The Update Checker will scan your computer for installed software, check the versions and then send this information to FileHippo.com to see if there are any newer releases.
10. (Windows XP only) Run defrag at your convenience.
11. When installing\updating ANY program, make sure you always select "Custom " installation, so you can UN-check any possible "drive-by-install" (foistware), like toolbars etc., which may try to install along with the legitimate program. Do NOT click "Next" button without looking at any given page.
12. Read How did I get infected?, With steps so it does not happen again!: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic2520.html
13. Please, let me know, how your computer is doing.

Registry entries deleted on Reboot...
If I go to Mozilla and reinstall FireFox, this won't start all over again will it? As far as the hidden folders, I often deleted cookies, history, and temporary internet files because sometimes IE and Firefox didn't. I did use TFC often so that the games at Facebook played better. My problems started when I said yes to update firefox and java. It just updated and didn't ask any questions.
I suggest you remove all traces of Firefox first following this guide: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
It won't let me at prefetch to delet this one
Windows XP and above:Delete all C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch\FIREFOX* files
