Within the last half hour, I tried 4 times to log onto http://www.virtualdr.com/ and all of these efforts were unsuccessful. Each time it hung about midway during the loading of the webpage. BTW, I have dialup.
So then I decided that I wanted to post this in this feedback thread and I tried twice to log onto http://discussions.virtualdr.com/. The first attempt was unsuccessful and the 2nd attempt finally loaded but it took about 3 times as long as it would normally.
Something certainly needs to be done ASAP to resolve these issues once and for all. I know that there are efforts afoot but obviously the priority of these efforts needs to be increased to the URGENT level, IMO.

I, also, was unable to logon to the site for a period. I assumed the site was down for repairs. On this attempt I loged on in a few seconds. Seems better. :)

It seems to be hit and miss for me here. Couple of times it wouldn't load at all. Sometimes it loads slow, sometimes it seems normal. I think the database may need compacting or repair. That's not something I can do myself but I asked the appropriate parties and they're looking into the problem.

I can't call it slow, but it is erratic........and last night I couldn't get on at all...with IE or FFox.......
now, it is as fast as it has ever been.
FWIW to Jupiter techs....I live within 10 miles of John Steven.

It's hit and miss like I said, but right now it's kinda slow for me, and I'm used to 1 or 2 second page loads nearly everywhere.

Earlier today, entering http://www.virtualdr.com/ was quick, but then it took over one hour to get to any page including http://www.virtualdr.com/. Now it is back to "just slow". However, in fairness, my internet connection (Cable through Comcast) has been only 1/2 of its normal speed the last few days.

Well it's Monday morning and it's taking longer today to get onto VDr than before. This is crazy, can't something be done???
FWIW, go to the Internet Software forum and post the problem, maybe someone has had this problem and could remedy the situation (there are a lot of smart people reading these forums, give them a chance). BTW, this suggestion IS NOT SARCASTIC, it is meant to be constructive and hope it is taken that way.

I have to say that for me at least, the site seems to be a little faster :). A couple of links have been slow for me, but on the whole, it is faster.
Not as fast as it has been though before the problem started.

Any news from the mods or admin on this slow down? It's really a pain to surf VDr where it is loading as slow as dialup up on my 3meg down ADSL line.

Just went to "Today's Posts", rapidly right-clicked and selected "Open in New Window" on five different Threads. Total elapsed time for all pages to finish loading: 14 seconds.
(2.6GHz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP [with all updates], IE 6.0, DSL, and AVG running a System Scan in the background)

We've been looking into it since the 1st complaint but it seems to have sped up considerably for me in the past couple/3 days. Right now it seems quite normal loading time.

That doesn't seem to be "Normal" to me. Still loading slow from any machine or browser I use. Hmmmmm.......
Did you post this in "Internet Software" yet???

I just heard from our tech/server dept. They're working on it but just haven't pinned down the cause yet. It's more than just this forum being affected. But we're not ignoring it, we're just having trouble diagnosing the problem.
