Thank you!

I was ready to KILL Dh when I got on the computer this morning and saw that STUPID toolbar. Thanks for all of your help, I was able to remove it (mostly with Adaware) and now the computer is fine. I'm sure DH thanks you too. Lord only knows what I would have done to him if I didn't remove the stupid thing.

remove isearch easily

Just download the "hijackthis" program from this page:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
and erase the registry entries with "isearch" in their name.

Remove iSearch toolbar from browser

I tried this and it worked easily -- and I know nothing about computers. Thanks to the guy that posted it!

Uh,..none of this works for me...

I go to the download page to download the "uninstall" software and I get a popup that says Isearch cannot be uninstalled....

So I tried the "toolbar repair" thing and that option or heading isn't there under the "T" listings,...nor is the link for the repair itself. What the heck is going on???

Is it because I am using Windows 98se?

The Toolbar Repair at Kelly's site is for Windows XP NOT Windows 98SE.

Been battling Isearch on my machine for the better part of the day. I seem to have most of it out of my system from what I can tell (used SpySweeper, AdAware, and Spybot) but the only remaining problem is that upon a reboot my IE homepage gets set to something else, and my desktop contains shortcuts to various trash sites. Anyone else seen this?

to a folder of your choice......doubleclick to open."Scan"...then "Save Log"...when it opens in notepad.......copy (edit..select all..copy) & paste (CTRL-V) the log into your post.

The info here is awsome. Thanks for the help guys, I too had isearch's toolbar but with the posts here I was able to uninstall it.
I just have one question, how do I uninstall HIJACK?

Q. How do I uninstall HijackThis?
Start it, then click 'Config', 'Misc Tools', 'Uninstall HijackThis'. Then delete HijackThis.exe. You can also delete the backups it created if you like.
