Just as an aside (or an 'affront'--whichever way you want to take it....), one article I saw recommends clear PVC plastic over acrylic--according to them, it doesn't warp or crack with heat as acrylic may do.

maxx call your local glass shop...the kind that makes windows or mirrors...and ask them for acrylic in the thickness that you are interested in.....an entire side panel for a mid tower is like 8 bucks..or check out bestbyte.net for pre cut windows. pretty cheap that way too...

And Daizy, build or buy, don't upgrade. That's a good spare machine maybe but not worth the $$$.
How badly do you want to learn the finer points of hardware and building your own machine? Or do you need a solution more quickly and efficiently.... with support!?

Yeah!! Stained glass! Have a beautiful pastorial scene with lovely pastels, then put a green neon behind it....it'll look like the windshield of a Corvette that sped through a grasshopper migration...
