hello again Broni. Sorry to be a nuisence but I still seem to be experiencing some sluggish-nish on start up. Windows is hanging after I start the computer up and I also keep getting McAfee telling me my computer is not protected even though real time scanning and firewall are both on. Also keep getting shockwave flash has crashed within Google Chrome.
I've just disabled a few things from starting through msconfig so hopefully this will resolve the issue of slow start up but is there anything we could have missed thats could still be causing problems?

e2a; real time scanning in McAfee appears to be switching its self off or is being disabled somehow :/

Install fresh copy.
Mmmm don't think I can do that as I don't have the disc (was my sisters copy) and I don't want to have no security. After I disabled Java on startup and another service things have sorted them selves out anyway it seems. Everything is tickety boo lol
