Yeah, from what I'm reading on the net, it'll clean reinstall Vista. All will be gone, including recovery partition.
Why it doesn't want to work for Vista repair installation, I'm not sure. Must be something about it being OEM version.

Just the way those idiots get around paying M$ more money.
Your are correct Train, Windows 2000 and I believe XP also, was great, you could easily reinstall them without losing any data. Today we are really advanced!
I guess I'd like to close this thread, there are no obvious solution, except a complete reinstall.
Unless you buy a M$ OEM cd.

Remember, a OEM version is tied to that motherboard and can not be transfered.
