Your Welcome!
One of my brother-in-laws uses it. It works pretty fair for the price. But once in a while it acts like it drops the circuit and you hear nothing then picks up then drops again. So he has to call back and maybe it will work like it should. Some days that does not do the trick either.
As he states, not the most dependable, but it is cheap enough that he can live with it.
I don't know what they're talking about, nothing much is really installed on your PC where Magic Jack is concerned. It's all contained on the flash drive product. The only thing it loads onto your computer is an icon. As for the adverts, they're only contained within the dialer software itself. It's not like it loads pop up Trojans or anything.
And you absolutely cannot use it without the hardware drive itself.
A much better best is Google Voice. Although you need a computer set up a (free) account, you can then call anywhere in the US or Canada for free, using either a landline or a cell phone. Moreover, overseas rates are extremely low -- 2 cents a minute to many foreign countries in Europe.
