Cotton Candy and Little Girls: Pink is a softer, less violent red. Pink is the sweet side of red. It's cotton candy and bubble gum and babies, especially little girls.
Nature of Pink: While red stirs up passion and action, studies have shown that large amounts of pink can create physical weakness in people. Perhaps there is a tie-in between this physical reaction and the color's association with the so-called weaker sex.
Culture of Pink: In some cultures, such as the US, pink is the color of little girls. It represents 'sugar and spice and everything nice'. [...continues...]
I was joking as I'm sure 104456 was :D
I can't imagine Pink ever being a color a majority would want to look at for any given amount of time .... although I have seen some forums that would give your retina damage :D
Well it may attract more ladies LOL :D:D
No pink no way no how. I once accidentally walked down the Barbie aisle in a toy store, and all that pink burned my retinas
Just think of all the assistance you`ll get in redesigning the forum ROFL :D:D
well i like this color, good for my eyes
I have to say I am not a fan of barbie pink either ... I'm much more of a red/black color girl ... altho I do like a splash of hot pink now and again ;)
Pink, isn't that what the University of Iowa painted the visiting team's locker room to turn them into wimps and gain an advantage in sports? I read about it a couple of years ago. It must have worked since he was widely criticized for doing it.
Hi
So why is some of the text in the posts in this thread , have text that is "grayed out" barely visible? Other websites are the same.
I just sent an email to Acer, my monitor lcd 19 700-1
Which posts? You mean in people's signatures? Like mine for instance?

That extreme a change I can't make. The colors have to have something to do with the header

thanks
I'm not seeing any "greyed out" text. Never have done here
Are you refering to the text in the bottom of the image below?

I set the text to be gray but it's readily visible on my screen. Anyone else have difficulty reading it?
I dont have a problem reading gray text ;)
Maybe needs to play with the contrast a bit.

Thes lines are fine

It runs this way on all web pages, some are worse than others, i tried adjusting settings, maybe helped a little but unless i forgot what my crt monitor was like, these lines seem quite slightly hidden, as the post on the main virtualdr.com "is any one else sick of gray?"
Acer has not responded yet, and i haven't had time to call them, no sense talking to the builder.
what about this?

Oh, I get it now - you're having an actual problem.....I thought you were critiquing the color scheme here, like everyone else in the thread was. :)Quote:

You need to adjust your settings or check your monitor.
I tried that to no avail, tha's why i posted that fix in detail, as it appears there are some glitches? The mojor text items seem good, the sub titles.
such as "cached" "similar pages" and some "email links' are the culprits, how can you adjust one and not the other---- referring to the windows "fix i posted earlier from Vista/control panel/appearance?
This site has themain body in purplish gray, cast to me, how do adjust web pages like this, i never had to before?
Now i can play with some more settings, see what happens with resolution.
Thanks again
