Oh aye sounds just like my grandfather's logic it does. Brings back fond memories of him coming back from the pub with my Da. "Couldn't take the chance of letting go to waste old dear! That would be tragic! Just think of the loss of what it cost!" There was always a sparkle of mischief in the old man's eye. Even when he knew my Gram wasn't letting get away with something.

My son suddenyl announced the other night that Father Christmas was going to bring him a light saber.
Since most Australian's call you Santa we were surpised and asked him where he heard that alternate name and he said "the kids at kindy (kindergarten) call him that".
Must be alot of English kids there or something ?
My son is putting out Carrots for the reindeer and some lemonade for you.
He hasn't decided what you might like to eat - any hints ?

The reindeer ate their orange apples (what he called them) and the what they didn't eat the ants had a fun time with.

I would love some trifle, I'm sick of mince pies and sherry or coca-cola. I like the occasional glass of red wine but, remember I'm driving so only a very small glass.l
This one may be a little out of you league, but my wife and I would like for our new baby to be born after Christmas day as our 4 yr old is so looking forward to the day and this is the first year that he had been getting really excited and into the spirt of it all like only a child can.
The baby is not due until January 7, but two of my wife's friends went two weeks early recently and my wife is worried that this would make it christmas day for her.
P.S. Did you ever see The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton about Skeleton who tries to take over Santa's job http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/an...mare/home.html
It's a strange movie, but very good, my son loves it.

A couple of times my son set a "trap" for Santa Claus. Involved a box, a string, and a connection to the chimney. Clever mom that I am, I tripped the string and you should have seen how wide his eyes got when he saw it. He almost caught Santa Claus!! But he was kicking himself for not hearing the "noise" and waking up to catch the old gent in action.

At the risk of sounding slefish. I have always wanted some recording/mixing equipment. There is some equipment I saw that you can hook to the PC, you also hoock your guitar and mic's to it. You record your music then on the PC you edit and mix it with software provided. I think there are 2 of these I was looking at...The MBox and the DigiOne system. These systems are 400 dollars and 800 dollars. One day I will get one....
Anyways, other than that, I just want everyone to have a fun and safe holiday season.
Two more days to go. I've got to catch up with my shopping spree. Very stressful indeed, but fun.
Any way have a pleasant, safe, and healthy holiday season.
