Apparently a large number of post counts have been fixed because everyone here has a good number of them.

Being fairly new myself here...Do you get a t-shirt or something for so many posts?:D

I think the question here is, are the post counts permanently corrupt or just a percentage?

I don't have any idea why I got lucky with this change of the board., I lost about 350 post count back in late '99/early 2000_ no biggie, I only do about 500 posts a year, at least so-far. Absolutely love the new options/vB code...

nope, not the original
"Butter" was born at Vdr, and the very first time a primitive write-up saw light was in my "1000" thread.
Later on, I posted the butter booter topic and the collaboration at lurkhere is based on it.

butter was edited a good many times, and eventhough it covers plenty ground, is far from perfect.

I am going to have to do something about the current mess it is in. (html/ubb conversion messed it up somewhat)

Perhpas you might be able to recover your 'butter' posts by starting a separate thread on it (so it's not buried in this one).
Some members squirrel away posts for future reference, maybe you'll get lucky and find someone who was saving the posts as they evolved?

Looks as though my post counts are about where they should be also....GREAT work by those that have done this....also noticed several other members whose post counts appear to be about right as I remember them....thanks to all for your efforts in trying to recitfy this problem.....greatly appreciated by many I'm sure....

delpart and its official link was mentioned very late in the thread

the comments about wipeout I made here there and yonder, are not there yet
(wipeout has a "confusing" letter/number "issue")

one could just as well include gdisk in such a thread, albeit it was originally about using FDISK...


yep, I intend to rewrite it, to repost
as it is NOW, I cannot correct the changes the change-over did to it (character corruption)

you see, it is longer than 10000 characters, and I cannot edit it any longer...

hmmm, I just remember I once saved a summary to disk, which I used for a character count test post at amazing

it was pretty much like the kingsknight summary...
so I have the original, and much of the content of later posts already summarised...
this could be the basis of a repost...

I've lost around 400, I waited awhile after the transition to see if the missing ones would appear, but unless this post jumps to 650 odd, they are still missing. Any one know if the archived win98 stuff has been added in yet? BF :(
