On 2000, I took a hit after loading Direct X 8
on 2001 , could not even open it and it needs 128MB ram and 600 cpu minimum.
QOH has the ulead graphics program which I hear is a bear to work with. Seems you have to configure your system for it. As it needs its own swap file.

Running 1.03ghz with 320 RAM. 3DMark 2001 runs--pretty awesome. Got a score of 2732, which is fairly decent according to what I read on that particular forum. However, be forewarned--when they say it puts the system throught the grinder, they weren't kidding. Noticed in some of the tests, it doesn't run quite as smoothly as the equivalent test in 2000--it's testing harder. Although the demo is great, in some ways, I like the 2K demo better. The 2001 has some tests also that are 'reserved" for GeForce 3 I think; so they don't run--not sure if this effects the score. Hope you can get yours going soon.

Maybe try going to Display properties settings and set the Adapter for "Adapter Default" rather than "Optimal". or set it for 60hz.
Will try those settings.
And just because I have no sound on jr should not be the problem. I wouldn't think??

tried those tricks , turned sound on in bios, tried again.
Will not load in video ?? All I see is the desktop. Do the salute and there it is.

No error messages.
Guess I'll think on it a day or two. Not locking up either.

Train: not a bad 3DM2K score for no overclocking/tweaking! I just added RAM sinks to the Herc to help cool them down when overclocking--got them at 2cooltek.
Was using the Nvidia 7.17 drivers when scored 2732 on 3dMark2001. Just downloaded/installed 11.01 "leaked" drivers--score: 3186---a nice jump. Think I'll keep 'em. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

do you have links to drivers ?? And I bet this darn thing is overclocking the card like it did [tried on ] my cpu. Voltages are a little high for some reason. about 0.16V high. Just remembered that today. So, after I get a waterpump replaced on van, I need to get into the o/c and downclock it. Experiment and see if that helps.

Well installed the latest drivers and 2001 is at 2683 3D Marks.
But took a hit 2k which now is at 5853 3D Marks.
If you want to see something crazy in 2k set it for single buffer. I thought that was comical to watch.
