Sorry, busy.
No, don't think it is quite time for that.
My video card overheats and locks up now and then, but not everyday. Just a point.
How many fans do you have in the case? What temp does the computer work in? Room temp.
Also, what video card do you have.

Thankyou again for your reply, i appreciate you are busy and the advice i get from here is free and dont expect a reply every time i post https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ I'm using a ge-Force 2 mx with the latest detonator driver 12.41 i think, my system runs at 31 Oc and my processor runs upto 42 Oc when converting files for long periods. I have bought a fan for my card as it didnt come with one. I have one fan at the bottom back, and a bigger one at the bottom front. I dont know if its anything to do with this but my computer dores take about 2 secs when pressing ' Windows explorer ' to come up, do you think it might be my Hd not responding quick enough ? Just a thought.
it is a possibility that the hard drive isnt responding fast enough or properly.
im not going to give advice on this until you give me more info on your hard drive(type, size, and make).
i have sisoft sandra 2001 and it tells me my hd info, tests it,and gives results with advice.
i dont think your system will do the test without locking up so i wouldnt advise downloading it just yet.
i will do more research on basic hd tips tweaks and maintanance, and errors.
dont quit
That rear case fan should be up and as close to the ps as possible.
Your temps are fine for the cpu. Mine are 5C higher.
Now, does your program/BIOS give the voltages? I found that I had a little to much voltage going to the video card, and got the hack and underclocked it 10MHZ and it stopped my problem. And a fan on the card will help there as My video locked up when the heatsink reached 110 F. I used a probe on it.

My Hd is a maxator 19.6 Gb, and my voltages are Vcore 1.87v, VDD 3.57, 3.3V Value 3.43v, 5V Value 5.25V, 12V Value 11.95 V
DingA
1.75 Vcore is what you want or if it will boot with 1.65V run it as 1.85 is the max Vcore voltage. highly suggest turning it down for stability.

I managed to drop it down to 1.85v, but cannot see how to get it any lower than that, but i spose that is within the limits. Will try to convert a file and see if it does it again, thanx for the link
List you mobo. I will find and read the Manual for it.
1.85V is running it to hot
you need to get it down to 1.75V at least.

My mobo is a Jetway with a via KT133 chipset, my temps are fine if chip temp of 42 Oc at max is ok. The mobo model no. is 663aspro. On Sisoft is says on the tuneup wizard that ' system monitor device implementation is know to vary ' dunno if this is anything, also when i had a program to messure my clock speed, the reading was going from 801 - 809 mhz.
Once again thanx
Irritating when a mobo manufactor does not have a online manual.
You will need to read your manual to find out how to adjust the voltages manually.
my temps are fine if chip temp of 42 Oc at max is ok. If this is the max you are seeing.
I could live with it I guess. But, cannot say I like it. Get the air moving. And it should do fine.
Hope I have been of help to you.
A thread on overheating.

Train, as this is more hardware than software I'm leaving you to it but there is a manual for the mobo here:
http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/produ...o/663aspro.htm
I won't move the post as we're all used to seeing it here now https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

Well i have gone throught the manual, and have dropped the voltage down by -0.025, it doesnt give you the option to go any lower. and flashing my bios is giving me constant errors. Im off to read the thread on which mobo to get for a amd and then purchase a new mobo. Thankyou everybody who has offerd help. I have learnt a lot https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ cheers guys
I know this thread is a little old but just sorted the problem with flashing my bios out. After flashing my bios i could drop the voltage down by 0.1 v, my computer is now running fine. Now to go look at the overclocking site. Thanx guys
Hey, thanks for coming back to us.
Glad it finally worked out for you (and that you managed to flash the BIOS without toasting your board) https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
