Why does my ZA say 2.6.231 is the latest version when I autoupdate? Where can I go for the new version?
I'm at 18 pings in the last 20 minutes. I must be on someone's list somewhere.
Running Tiny here for a couple months. Wish I knew how to master the program though. I have just been doing the default of when asked give and I am not letting the Kernel out since I heard it can divulge.
Hi All, ZoneAlarm 2.6.231 is the latest version. I had no probs with the last one. I updated to one just below this one and it would not let me download my web sites. refused to conect to ISP even. Went into Reg to get rid of every piece of zone then put this version in. Works but when on Morpheos it keeps stoping Morph from takeing my music from my folders. 20 hits from it in last 15 min.And peeps from France,Germany trying to enter, driveing me nuts it is.

Ever noticed a icon resting on the zone alarm taskbar icon?
Hi Gone Fishing
I have a small blue background with what looks like a letter "Q" on my Zone Alarm icon on the Taskbar.
Sometimes it there, sometimes it goes away. I don't know what it is, nor how to get rid of it.

I think anybody running a firewall is experiencing a frequency of alerts and pings lately. Don't forget the internet garbage aren't direct attempts, these are the majority I get over port scan attempts.
Possibly the game sting was playing has some hacks in it? (speculation)I'm not a gamer but I've noticed some references to it on gamer related sites.
You can always reduce the pop up window notification option to the task bar (The @ icon in the task bar) and review the log later.
mach.
The game site problems with ZA are a fact of life unfortunately. Pogo.com which is the site I use along with a lot of other people has changed their Java scripting on some games and games rooms and this "new and improved" java is what get's blocked by ZA.
I turn my ZA off to go play and chance my luck. So far so good(fingers crossed_
OK, yes. But I never removed the checkmark. At least not on purpose and it happened a couple of times. Hasn't happened since I added another firewall to go with zone alarm.
I have heard alot of people talking about getting alot of hits with the newest versions. I have the newest and have very few hits. I wonder if you had some spyware that you didn't know about? Just an Idea.
The way I am though is that if a site wont let me in because of ZA, I dont go. I figure they need to turn down their system if they want me in.... Just my way though....
Glad you got it up and going though. That is a real kick in the butt.....
I got Black Ice Network defender (name right?) and get notified of more hits with it than I ever did using ZA. ...
After turning ZA off for a minute or so... SEE HERE and then needing to reformat I installed Tiny PF. With the updated ZA my activity light on the cable modem was flashing so much that it appeared as to be a steady light. With Tiny PF it now blinks about 10 times per minute??? Wonder if that's good or bad???
