the thing i never did go on a computer before late 2006 .
now am close to 68 so for me to go and play in the bios forget it .
even after 5 years i only use one finger on the key board .lol .
but you get use to it .
the job i use to do screw up all my finger really bad

The mobos do not come overclocked. And yes, your memory will be recognized as soon as you install it and boot up.
You are not that much older than me but I have been around computers longer, also, not by many years. My first was a Commodore 64 I got from a friend in 1991. My next was a Macintosh I used for 7 years, then I discovered I couldn't do what I wanted to with the Mac and I had someone else build me a PC. Then it wasn't fast enough and I discovered VDR, the guys here helped me build one. Train, Greengoose and a few that aren't here anymore. Ater the first build it got a lot easier, and I still build for myself, and my family.
this is really funny train .
the first one we got it was from my grandson school .
what i did i call the school and i talked to the principal and i said do you have a old computer for michel he said yes .i will fix you one up .
so it was ibm igl ???? some like that . with xp in it .ho boy it was slow .but it did the trick .
so my daugther show me[google] so from there i thing i look at go cart for 6 months .lol .well i was a bush men .i had 2 atv .so was really insterested in a go cart for the bush .
but it did not take long to know more then they did .because all they did is chat on it .
i tell you one thing a computer is not made for 3 people .not good at all .
then i got a [mdg] it was better .put not like what am building now .
read .read and read more then you get to know a lot of stuff.
it by reading that you know .
with google it so easy to find any thing you like to know .
now i really don't type for what am looking for .
is soon as i find what i am looking for .i copy and paste in google .that it .
for me am french so it is really hard to find the right word .

but after i check them all .there is none for fast speed at all .
they all 9-9-9-24 not much speed there .

i have a good one for you .
now this is my old case .see picture .
now every thing be all new parts .the only thing old be the case .
now in my old case i have a 250 hard drive with a lot stuff on it that i like to keep .
so is it possible to it in my new build with my new brand new 320 hard drive .
if i put it in do i have to install vista on it to be able to use it .???????????
If the things you want to keep on the 250G drive are just documents, pics and similar media then you could just install it as a slave drive to access the files. That would be the easiest way to do it... but you will not be able to run any programs that are currently on that old drive...
If there are programs you want to access then the simplest way would be to reinstall them on the new drive.

Install to the new drive. then shutdown and hook in the 250 GB hdd, SATA is fine.
Boot up and it should show up in Computer. Take ownership of the drive. Then you can explorer it with windows explorer, copy/paste what ever you want to where ever you want.
thank .ok i install the new drive .install vista on it right .
then turn the computer off .put the old drive in .turn it on and i will find it my conputer .
by the way do i leave the 2 drive connected to sata and usb or do like i use to do when i had vista and w 7 .then all i was doing was to turn it off and change the usb cable from drive to drive .
when i do it i will contact you .
that be only next week .today i will get the mobo .the cpu .the power supply is brand new .
now because my 2 stick are comming from california i have to wait till next tuesday at least .
i was going to take one stick out of my new computer .but i change my mind .i wait for the 4 gb
sorry i did not mention that have my new drive [wd 320 blue ]
