IE9 and XP

The issue is that it does not occur frequently but when it happens then it is always in connection with displaying pictures. It could well be that it has something to do with the provider of my radio signal (live in a rural area). With pictures I mean a sequence of pictures, i.e. 12 pictures go perfectly, and the 13th will not come up. Restarting the sequence will correct this. It is not a major issue for me but a bit annoying. Have now FF 3.6.2 installed.

That's what makes Firefox so great, which IE will never be. It's open-source, can be tweaked in 100,000 ways. If you've ever been to mozilazine.org you can see all the variations, even writing your own code to tweak preferences. I have my own theme, my own set of buttons on the top, 30 add-ons, colors that give me better contrast, etc. I've also done away with the invasive plugins and found other substitutes. .

It WAS very buggy at the beginning.

-It has 9 years of patches in it now, so why should I start with another system that will need years of patches again?

-It does everything I need, with plenty of room for learning more

-It's relatively stable if you're computer literate

-I'm accustomed to its quirks, interface and troubleshooting procedures (mostly:D).

-It's compatible with all my hardware, even on my old PIII backup computer.

One of the other forums calls it "The OS that would not die." LOL. We'll all switch to Win 7 eventually, but right now I have no need for it.

Just copy the link from the address bar and paste it into the post. VBulletin will do the rest. You can put it between tags if you want, but it isn't necessary.

Example (miss out the spaces):

[u r l]www.mysite.xyz[/url] (gives a straightforward link)

[u r l=www.mysite.xyz]My Site[/url] (gives a link that says "My Site")
