Ah, you're using IPv6. Should be ok.
At this point, I think you should get rid of AVG and use Avira or MS Security Essentials. I've heard of some issues with AVG and Homegroups.

Do you think I can disable AVG on both computers and see if that does the trick?
It's your computer, so do whatever you want. If merely disabling it doesn't work, you know what I'll say next. :)
Well I disabled AVG on both PC's and now I can see my other computer in the network map but they still don't see each other in the Homegroup. I am going to uninstall AVG on both computers next and see what happens.
