[RESOLVED] Trojan Vundo H

Close Combofix, rename combofix.exe to abc.exe, and try to run it again.

Ok that worked and it really seems to have helped. I no longer have the image thank you for downloading google toolbar in the background and surfing seems faster. Here are the logs.

I believe combofix has froze while preparing log report upon reboot. The cursor is flashing and has been for the past ten to fifteen. It says not to run any programs until it finishes. Otherwise went very quick and smooth. If it aint one thing, its the next. Sorry for being a pain. I really appreciate the help. what should i do?

Uninstall Combofix:

Go Start > Run
Type in:
combofix /u
Note the space between the "combofix" and the "/u"
Restart computer.

2. Turn off System Restore:

- Windows XP:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Check "Turn off System Restore".
5. Click Apply.
6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
7. Click OK.
- Windows Vista:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks

ok, the computer is running much better now. It boots up and shuts down faster than ever and runs smoothly. I do have a few more questions and maybe one more issue.

First, would you recommend windows firewall or pc tools firewall?

Second, when i shut down the computer i get an error message the first time it was AvSvc.exe programm error and the second was SpoolsTV or something similar .exe program error. both had to do with cannot reference memory click ok to terminate or cancel. Thats as close as i can remember it because it only happens right before windows shuts down and i cant even copy it.

Any suggestions?

P.S. you have been a great help. I really appreciate it.

One other thing, when i ran malwarebytes before I posted to this forum, it was coming up with an infection that didnt seem related to the trojan but i still couldnt fix it. I ran malwarebytes scan and came up with the same thing (only thing this time :)). I havent attempted to fix it but here is the log of it.
