I have noted what you say.
As I mailed earlier, I rolled back the driver and all my applications seem to be working fine.
I am grateful to all the folk who have posted.
In light of all the views that this thread has had, I am sure that some folk must have benefitted from the assistance that you and other posters have contributed.

Th rollback was a permanent solution for me.
I am grateful for the time people spent helping me, and judging by the number of views it seems that quite a few folk can have benefitted from the various suggestions.
