Text changes size different pages?

As far as downloading and running the chgietitle.vbs file, try this in IE (Internet Explorer):

1. Right-click the following link:
   http://www.dougknox.com/utility/scripts/chgietitle.vbs
   and then select "Save Target As..."

2. In the "Save As" box that pops up, click "Desktop" on the left, check at the bottom to make sure that the "File name:" is "chgietitle.vbs" and the "Save as type:" is "VBScript Script File", and then click the "Save" button

i did get it downloaded before to my desk top,it's something like chgietitle.vbs,

last night i went to regedit/file/export/save and named the file i think the instructions were have the registry backuo (export) on my desk top, when that was down, i think in the registry it showed "attachment" and my name on the file on desktop. is that right?>

i found 2 sets of instructions on registry back up both were the same.?

just as a question, and i don't have anything else to do, is this always a normal way to change the registry or this was writtten for this purpose only?

and this deletes both entries of charter, the default at top is not set, but charter has a google entry and a window entry, this script changes both of those?

That was written for those who do not like to go into the regs and do it the normal way.

You probably have given it to me before,. without a lengthy lecture presentation, and there probably isn't how would you- i- do it other wise?

I do basic webpage work and yes I can understand why you are getting what you see.

And that problem is caused by the differences in the various browses. so, to get a page to work properly in IE7 it might not work properly in IE5 or IE6 and of coarse that error may show up in Firefox and who know what other browser.

CSS - Cascading Style Sheets- is were things can be corrected or made worse. Just depends on the knowledge or trouble the person is willing to go to.

Then the browsers basically have 3 modes.
Standard
Almost standard
Quirk

So, should a Quirk mode be hit, anything can happen.

Had to dig out the books on .CSS for web design and I see I have a long ways to go to understand this mess.

now do i just unistall charter updater in programs or leave it for "modem"?
i have their modem and isp.

ADD and Remove is where it is. Uninstall it.

Now to update the modem, power cycle it.
Unplug the power from the modem for 30 seconds, then plug the power back in. The first thing the modem does, is run out and get the newest/latest firmware and installs it.
Once installed, then the modem boots the rest of the way up.

I just had to do that to take advantage of the latest speed changes Comcast made in my area. Yes the firmware is where your upload/download speeds are restricted.

The present 2 - 2.4 MB sure beats the 700k I got when the SP first came out.

Uff Da, is about as far as we go.

Since Charter put all this junk on , the modem has gone out once, i think, maybe twice, but it could be there cable went down, so i had to unplug it, to recycle.

If i remove the charter browser updater and we have the same disconnect as i had before?

You should be just fine with out the updater.
I sure would try to get rid of it.

But first open IE, Internet options, Connections tab, Lan settings button.
Is there anything in there?
