Thanks Train, slow is the only way now, each pound is harder.
A pound a month would be a good rate. That way we can keep it off. Yes, I have to put myself in that boat. :(
Way to go Philgo. Great job.
so what exactly are you doing to lose this weight...
Not doing a lot of exercise but have a job where I'm always active, it's all down to what I eat.Quote:

I eat tons of fruit and vegetables.

Low calorie drinks.
I haven't had a beer or touched a biscuit or chocolate in 3 months.
I still have sugar on cereal in the morning and in tea and coffee though.
I weigh myself every Sunday morning with digital scales and that give me the boost to keep on going. I also tell everyone at work, I find that that helps also.
I've actually gone and done it, my Sunday morning weigh in came in at exactly 14 Stone or 196 pounds, I'm over the moon. :D :D :D :D :D
Congratulations! And I'll bet you even feel better too.
Congratulations! :)
Now, keep it off until the 25th, and enjoy some turkey...but make sure the ratio of vegetables is good. :D

That is awesome Phil .. you should be very proud of yourself .. its not an easy thing to do ((hugs)) :)
Thanks everyone, all I need to do now is not put it back, not an easy time of the year for that.
Gave myself a little break over Christmas and put a few pounds back on. Went back to my regime towards the end of December and I'm now 194 pounds.
So far I have not only lost weight but my blood pressure has decreased into the normal range, my heart rate has noticeably slowed, I feel much better and I've stopped snoring.
So if anyone feels they are a bit on the chubby side I urge you to have a go, guarantee you'll like the results. You can even do it publicly in this thread, it helps when you know others are watching.
I don't like to be watched :D
Seriously thats great philgo ... I'm glad you are feeling better now.
I am making headway .. I quit smoking a month ago today as a matter of fact. Smoked my last cig at 5 am December 27th ... I have been sick ever since lol ... but that's another story. The annual bronchitits episode kicked in. ;)
Well giving up smoking is not very easy, looks like you have it beat as the first few weeks are the worse. Keep it up and buy yourself something nice with the money that you've saved.
I think that's going to be a new vehicle lol .. the old one was falling apart ... ;)
