Looking forward to seeing Happy Feet, just since I've heard it was cute...
I've been hearing that Borat is good, though it looks so incredibly stupid...guess everyone is in agreement that it's worth watching though....
Just saw the last James Bond movie, Casino Royale It was pretty good. At least this James Bond, Daniel Craig had a nice bod - the last one with the nice bod was Sean Connery! :D
NOT going to watch Blades of Glory - as I can't stand Will Ferrell or Jon Heder. If they had added Gilbert Gottfried, they'd have 3 of my least favorite actors (and I use that term loosely) ever in there at one time.
I think Will Ferrell is very funny, Blades of Glory looks funny but probably not his best work. I'll still watch it though:D
Speaking of Jon Heder did anyone else think Napolean Dynamite was rubbish?
I really like my comedy films and I'll laugh at anything, but this film did nothing. I didn't get the funny side of it. I only watched it because everyone was raving about it. I thought I had lost my sense of humour or something.
I'm thinking about watching it again to see if anything changes :D
I thought Napoleon Dynamite was one of the worst pieces of garbage around - except that Anchorman was so very terrible I never finished watching it. They joke on me at work about Napoleon Dynamite - they just don't understand how I didn't think any of it was funny. I don't get how anyone could find it funny.
The only thing I liked Will Ferrell in was Old School. Blue! You're my BOY!! :)
If you want to get on the good side of your girlfriend or wife (hopefully you don't have both!!!) rent Notebook. Yeah, it's been out for a while, but it really was good.
Looking forward to Spiderman, that's a must see for me.
The latest Bond flick was quite good. Much darker than the earlier ones and more graphically violent as well but I thought Daniel Craig makes an excellent James Bond. It's closer in feel to the first Mission Impossible movie (the good parts not the bad ie- Tom Cruise). It's also almost totally void of the winking, tongue in cheek humor of the originals too so it doesn't quite have the charm. I'd still say Sean Connery is the best Bond but Craig is the Bond for the new millenia.. harder, edgier and no nonsense.
Also saw "Children of Men".. unrelentently grim, violent and dreary but I did enjoy it. Very thought provoking with a tiny glimmer of hope at the end.
I liked The Sting.:)
I just watched Elizabeth Town. It's a girlie flick so you guys probably won't like it. But its a very sweet movie about a man who gets back to his roots when his father passes away.
Ladies ... Orlando Bloom is just as sweet as ever in this movie ;)

I agree, i got my free copy from Sony on saturday (PS3 Blu-Ray promo) and it was good to watch again, i actually forgot it was a bond film, and just watched.
The last DVD that i bought was Open Season, which was great, i love animated films, and with Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher playing a bear and a buck respectively, it's a laugh a minute.
I'll be going the pictures soon enough to see Shooter, it looks pretty cool.

Had to google Orlando Bloom - definitely not hard on the eyes ;)
Was a rainy & nasty weekend, so we watched some movies.
Pursuit of Happyness (yes, it's spelled that way)
We enjoyed it. It starred Will Smith and his actual son, Jaden Smith. Single father trying to better himself job-wise while still taking care of his son. Probably not a must-see, but good all the same.
The Holiday starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law (<----he is certainly very easy on the eyes!) and Jack Black. Two women both having guy troubles swap houses for a quick vacation. Cameron (Amanda) goes to Kate's (Iris) quaint little cottage in England, Winslet goes to Cameron's luxurious house in LA. I would guess most of the guys here would consider this a chick-flick, but I wouldn't necessarily call it that. It is a romantic comedy, and very enjoyable to watch.
I'm sure all the men here will enjoy Cameron and Kate :)
If ya like flicks with an old time movie feel, "My favorite Year" is a great one.
Yeah, I like Peter O'Toole. Classy guy and a great actor. Lawrence of Arabia is still one of my all time favorites.Quote:

I'll give My Favorite Year a big thumbs up as well.....along with O'Toole.... :)
Some of Peter O'Toole's best work in my opinion....Becket and The Lion In Winter. He appeared in a couple bad movies....but he has never had a bad performance IMO.;)
His performance in Caligula was a bit strange ... but then again everyone's "performance" in that was odd :D
