All one has to do is to google "Martin Durkin", the individual responsible for the film to find out all there is to know about him, his previous projects and his agenda. Oddly enough he describes himself as a "Marxist" LOL.

Well...thanks for that....
I'll be sure to catch Al Gore's, An Inconvenient Truth then. I'm sure there's no agenda there....LOL:D
OK, one of is confused:confused: Where do Green House gases come from if it doesn't come from pollution?Quote:

Ya know....everyone has an agenda. That's why it is important that one make their own determination on the information presented. You can run with the herd or be trampled by it...
I was once an environmentalist type. I was a member of Greenpeace back when they were doing important things like saving the whales from extinction. But I resigned after awhile. Resigning from Greenpeace is very easy....you quit sending them money and they kick you out.
I quit supporting them when they started getting militant and anti-human (which is brought up in the video). I can confirm what the guy was saying about environmental movements because I saw it for myself. Don't need a Google or newspaper article....I was part of it. As years went by I saw more and more environmental groups going political and started to change my mind on a great many things. I still believe in animal rights, don't hunt....and still get choked up when i see the fur seal hunt footage every year. I also think we should be going away from fossil fuels in favor of solar, wind and yes nuclear.
But right is right and wrong is wrong. Creating a panic (which is what I now believe is going on with climate change) is not the way to go. The end doesn't justify the means here.
Now...if you watch the video....which I still think nobody is doing....you would know that answer.:p :DQuote:

The video points out that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas....however it is a minor greenhouse gas compared to water vapor. And most of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere comes from natural sources like volcanoes, rotting vegetation and the oceans (largest contributor). Things we couldn't control if we tried for 1000 years.
Just a few years ago these same people were saying that we were all going to freeze to death in an ice age  They've been coming out with different disasters for at least the last 25 years, and they all get quietly forgotten about when the next disaster theory comes along.
Mind you, some things are real enough, there is a supervolcano under Yellowstone National Park, the Canary Islands will fall into the sea sooner or later and cause a mega-tsunami, and sometime or other another big asteroid is going to hit the earth.
Sparks....don't forget the alien invasion soon to be upon us.....
Giant ant creatures that will enslave us....and force us to toil in their underground sugar mines. Forced bilogical experiments to create a super race of ant-humans!:D
Sorry....had a Simpsons flashback there................:p

From your comment Maxx, seems like I should be more worried.
This is where the "mankind is evil" group comes in. Another source of CO2 (albeit a minor one) is man. All animals, actually. According to them, every breath we exhale contributes to global warming. That crowd omits one inconvenient fact: almost all plant life requires CO2. In turn, plants provide oxygen as a waste product. Neat circle - the more animals producing CO2, the more plants there are to provide oxygen.Quote:

I don't know whether you should be worried or not....but I watched a nature program on ants in Australia....and you guys have some big ones. They sorta run you down and jump on ya.....
I saw where you have a particularly poisonous one to people that are allergic as well....
Around this part of the US....we don't have many big ants. But get enough and they will carry you off to their mound and feed you to the queen, though.:D
I have been downloading the global warming swindle video from Google because I got tired of the constant stop/starting thing...but it's taking over 2 hrs. to download. I have broadband, although at the lowest service speed so I'm wondering if this is about normal for this kind of download?
The Solar correlation is undeniable and irrefutable.
I was able to stream the video without any interruption. It downloaded completely long before the program finished running....
The file is about 233 MB.....so it's a biggie.....
It could be your connection....but also the fact it is getting a lot more hits now and Google video servers are getting strained.
As a test....I hit the video link again. It is downloading much slower than it did last night. Also I see there have been about 25,000 more hits since last night. That's a lot of data streaming at 233 MB a pop.....
I have been wondering about my cable connection. I get a lot of interruption even when watching something like the MSNBC news video clips. But then sometimes the video will play for a few minutes w/o interruption and then it will begin a 2 or 3 second go/stop cycle...very un-watchable, to say the least!
