They will probably patch it in an upcoming IE7 update. Other than that little glitch everything else seems to be working ok so far. Has anybody been able to drag that Menu Bar without doing the registry edit?

Downloaded the file from link and what do i do next ?
cushtybloke, If you downloaded the file from MajorGeeks it's a zip file. Just double click the zip file to open it then double click the "ie7-menubartop.reg" to merge the contents into the registry.

Now all i need is the favs list not to overlap on top of the status bar and i might well keep using IE7
I spoke too soon as i just went on the microsoft discussion pages and the menu bar reverted back to below the address bar ! You then have to close browser and reopen it for it to revert back to its up top position. This is with toolbar locked as well.

I just went back on the discussion board and the menu bar stayed at the top !

Just noticed that its not related to any webpage but when i have the favourites list fully extended the menu appears at the top but when closed it reverts back to below address bar.
Yep, sure enough. When the Favorites are Pinned the top two rows swap places. Once you close the Favorites, they swap back.Note that this occurs with the Toolbars Locked or Unlocked.
- Normal window (with "ITBar7Position" Registry revision applied):
- Click the yellow star and Favorites column appears:
- Click the green left arrow to "Pin the Favorites Center" ...:
- ... and the top two rows have swapped places:
- Click the Favorites' "X" to close it, and the top two rows are back to normal:
I have two systems with IE7 and I'm also unable to move the menu bar. The hack will be a blessing, now is there a way to move things to the right of the address bar???Quote:
