Right. I did do that many times before a couple months ago, but even on fresh installs and stuff, same problem. So, my theory is this: The way the mouse feels now on new computers/installs is how it normally would for anyone else. The problem is, that's like much faster than it was for me all the years I used it. Maybe I had some conflict of devices or strange software files installed where it made the mouse slow down or something. Who knows. Thanks for responding though, but I'm thinking it just isn't meant to be. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will change back one day.
Hi,MiCLUS, I have a game on my 98se machine that is controlled by mouse & keyboard, the mouse is too fast for my hand/eye co-ordination but I can slow the mouse down by using the + & - keys, once set it stays there for duration of game, has to be reset everytime I play,

Possibilities:
1. If you originally attached the mouse without installing the drivers that came with it, it may now be using different drivers.
2. The drivers for pure DOS are different from those used in a Windows DOS window. If you are using it with DOS games, you might try some different (even some generic) DOS mouse drivers. Those have to be set up to load using Config.sys & Autoexec.bat with DOS/Win9x.
