Those "movie" modes often massively increase the brightness in order to try and make the monitor more like a TV screen. I generally find that using it as a monitor in that mode is a poretty horrible experience.

Yes, after settings to Movie 1 I had to turn down the brightness quite a bit. But as Professor U suggested, this mode must have messed with something else because with identical brightness and contrast settings, Movie 1 looks better than Standard. Without turning down the brightness, using Movie 1 as a monitor would be horrible indeed!
