That's not bad at all John in less than a year, considering Uni has you busy too.

I'm proud to be in that list. A bit surprised though considering I was absent for a few long spells.
Also proud just to be back among such great people as here at VDr. :)

Yep, I noticed that too: 5 members all registered on 12-31-1969.Which is impossible of course. (May have been an intentional joke or, it may have happened during one of the many board software upgrades).
One reason it couldn't have been 1969 is because one of those 5 members, mfurdyk (Michael Furdyk), wasn't even born until 1982.In 1997, Michael Furdyk, 15 and his two partners Michael Hayman, 18, and Albert Lai, 20 started an Internet-based venture of six websites and six e-mail newsletters called MyDesktop.com, (which included VirtualDr, HardwareCentral, etc.). In 1999 they sold it all to internet.com for more than $1 million U.S., (and internet.com was later sold to jupitermedia.com, the current owner of VirtualDr).Another reason is because the domain name VirtualDr.com wasn't registered until August 02, 1997.

12-31-1969 is the default date used in vBulletin when it can't find any other date..
Thanks Steve. Makes sense. Since the beginning of time on a *nix system is January 1st, 1970, if it doesn't know the date, it simply sets it back a day to "BC" (Before Computers). :)
Wow...looking at these lists is a real trip down Memory Lane. Seeing a few old friends that haven't been around in a long, long time. :(
Was wondering how you knew what my system was doing and then realised you were talking about unix - lol.Quote:

Was using the "*" as kind of a wildcard character: *nix as in Unix, Linux, Aix, HP-UX, etc. ... most all of the variants of the AT&T operating system that was co-created by Dennis Ritchie and Ken Thompson back in 1969.
