I don't have the nVidia drivers on this machine, but I'll look when I get home. I think you should be able to find an option on the menu if you right click on the system tray icon. 'disable' or something.
ok guys, i even rolled back my video driver and its still doing it, what am i going to do? maybe thats not the problem after all.... i'm so desperate right now
Let's better define what your problem is. Do you experience choppy video playback when watching a DVD movie? Poor frame rates during 3d video games? Choppy video in 2d/desktop situations?
yes to all, and for the last one , on the 2d on desktop, i can move my mouse across the screen and it will "lag" or stop consistently about two seconds apart everytime and continuously. This also goes for video play back, as well and video games. Any suggestions?
Can you post a Hijack This log? If even the mouse pointer is lagging, I would suspect it's not video related. It could be something using all your clock cycles.
It sounds like something is hogging the CPU cycles. Right-click the Taskbar and choose Task Manager, then in the Processes tab make sure that CPU & CPU Time columns are selected (View>Select Columns). Click twice on the CPU column header and that will put the process that is using the most CPU cycles at the top. Ignore System Idle Process, a high value for that is a good thing.
i have checked the task bar and done exactly as you have said but there is nothing prominent that is hogging up the cpu at all, nothing. what is a hijack this log?
oh nvm, i know what the hijack log is, let me run all that stuff and post it there, in the meantime any more suggestions? so you dont think its video related at all?
screw this, i guess i'm going to just reformatt
