I have NAV2005 on two computers and I have not had one bit of trouble.
FWIW ;)
buf,
Part of the reason for upgrading to a new version of an anti virus program is that supposedly a different (and hopefully better) scan enginge is being used. In an ideal world this is supposed to do a better job at finding viruses and cleaning them out.
Updating your dat files is only as good as the engine behind the program in keeping your computer clean.
Just a thought.
Doc
Doc, thanks for your input. I began to question--in my mind--some time ago about upgrades and how much better they truly are when compared to the version one may be using now. Think I have become skeptical about many "things" in life from those selling their goods, ideas, plans; etc., including our government on all levels.
Have to say though, I really don't know about the software in question. I only know that the NIS I presently use on both machines has kept us relatively safe for years. And for that reason, I am hesitant to change to a later version; even if it is free after rebates.
My disclaimer to the above is: I could be wrong :)
