I would say not. It took 3 new releases before they forgot about 98,.
Like with any new hardware I dont just rush out and buy it the minute it comes out (if I could affored to that is :rolleyes: ) but when I heard XP was being released I couldnt wait to get my hands on it and give 98 the boot. I think Longhorn will be a great OS but I will probably wait a few months before I buy it. Im very happy with XP so there wont be a need to rush this time when it LH gets released.
Keep in mind that the public drops so far have all been described at "developer technology previews"; they're meant for people to get a start writing drivers and stuff. The groovy UI stuff isn't included.Quote:

Im still fairly new to Win XP, took awhile to get me converted but im very happy with it. I have enough friends that just love to try new stuff so I will be kept up on the pros & cons of Longhorn but dont see myself jumping into it as soon as it comes out. :eek: Sidewinder
