nix, you are a good man; she got what she needed: a good set of pots and pans.
I also bought me wife for Christmas a good sturdy mop and a case of
dish soap. Why do we do it? Because we LOVE them!

Hi, well I solved my pots and pans problem 40 years ago, I bought a set of Rena ware. Calpitor will be pleased to know they are Canadian and if anyone makes better cooking utensils I am yet to see them. They are still as good as the day I bought them. In 72, 73, & 74 I was in the pit crew of the states touring car champion. Today after loading XP onto my mechanics computer, He had a beer while I took the water pump off the BM, and yes the plastic fans were stuffed. Replaced the thermostat and will probably need to pull the radiator to fix collateral damage as well. The cost of this will be born by the warranty. To me it is a shame, plastic that is heat effected is part of the modern car so you the consumer will have to have that part replaced, now on my lovely 86 TRD Celica the water pump is brass. My better half is no slouch when it comes to things mechanical, just sometimes who is less busy gets the job. The curse you will no doubt be pleased to know continues...... maybe goat sacrifice or is that too demonic?
Deltree, that reminds me of the year my husband gave me a broom for Christmas. I still don't know whether he was telling me to fly away on it, or to clean the house!!
I've never had bad luck (to speak of) on Christmas. That's because I stay home!! Don't walk out the door, and nothing will happen.
Cheers
Wendy
