If you have no type 47, or User Defined option available to you in bios hd setup, then you may have to resort to using Ez-bios (I hate to say that). Go here and following the directions under "EIDE Drives Greater than 2.1 GB", starting at step 2.

DrMDJ, Went there, didn't find EZbios, got referred to their Data Lifeguard system, dld'd the tools. I'm going to try that. If it doesn't work this time I'll be back with a new post "packard HELL" I think I'm gonna go price a new MoBo, but- stubborn me - I'd still like to whip this.

Now i have figuer out the seting of my hard disck,this is how i did it/i remove the hard disck to another pc then from there i go trough standard setup/so that is how i get it.CYLIN 936 /HEAD 16 /UPCOM 0 /SEC 17
SIZE 130.
But my another problem is that if i reboot the system there is no video on the monitor but there is a beep conferming the system is in service.but there is no problem with the monitor.pls help me to get the video back and it seems like it couldn't found the key board.although some times it do happen but after i leave the system for sometime i get it back but this time it taking too long.
