Tuttle: Yes, you have it right. I guess I was just a bit lazy and tried to summarize the issue as simple as I could come up with at the time. :D
It is something Sygate should fix. If they had this issue fixed, I would be hard pressed to find much else wrong with the product...IMO.
The Sygate thread I noted above goes into the problem pretty well...

yes, that thread u posted HAN shows how much of a problem it really is. sygate doesnt seem to think that many people use proxies, but i posted on there forum that it is a shame that such a great program like proxomitron goes to waste unless u want to give up some security, which obviously this creates a big "hole" in your connection. this is the only problem i see with sygate and hopefully they will fix it.
